Embassy Youth Forum

주한미국대사관 공보과 정보자료센터에서 미국 외교관들과 함께하는 Embassy Youth Forum에 미지센터 대학생 회원들을 Observer로 초청하였습Embassy Youth Forum니다. 

이번 포럼은 “Korea: South and North”라는 주제로 5월 14일 (목) 오후 5시부터 남영동 주한미국대사관 자료정보센터에서 열릴 예정이오니 참가를 희망하는 대학생들은 오늘(13, 수) 자정까지 미지센터 임원진 팀장(staff847@mizy.net, 755-1024 내선 102)에게 이름,학교, 학과  정보를 보내주시기 바랍니다. 

 

The Embassy Youth forum strives to improve how Koreans and Americans understand one another’s cultures, values, and politics by pairing some of Korea’s brightest youth with American guest speakers to discuss the contemporary issues facing each nation.  Each month the forum selects 4-5 young Koreans from a pool of 25 regular participants to discuss how each nation handles issues such as democratic elections, environmental policy, and many other topics. The forums are conducted in English and organized by the students themselves working in tandem with the United States Embassy’s Public Affairs Section. Korea: South and North   Moderator: Patrick J. Linehan,  Minister-Counselor for Public Affairs, U.S. Embassy Seoul.   Special Guests: Brian McFeeters,  Political Officer, U.S. Embassy Seoul.   This Month’s Forum Topic: “Korea: South and North”  - Against the backdrop of North Korea’s continuing pursuit     of a nuclear weapons program, we ask the questions,    “Are North and South Koreans one people?
